• PROBUS Month Joint Meeting – Dr. Carl Amrhein, VP (Academic) and Provost, UofA – The Aga Khan Network

  We are delighted to welcome Dr. Carl Amrhein as our speaker in October.  Dr. Amrhein has enjoyed a long and distinguished career, serving as Vice-President (Academic) and Provost of the University of Alberta, and Vice-President (Academic) and Provost of the Age Khan University, which operates campuses in the third world, most notably in Karachi, Pakistan and Nairobi, Kenya.  He has also served as the Official Administrator of Alberta Health Services and as Deputy Minister of Alberta Health.  Dr. Amrhein will speak to us about his work with the Aga Khan University and the Aga Khan Network, which has a particular commitment to health in the third world.  

  We will conclude the meeting with a luncheon.  A separate event has been set up for the luncheon.  Members of South Edmonton Probus can register on the web page set up for that event.
